The most frequent question about the quality of perfumes is: How much fixer does each product have? By reference to all those customers and those who love to have a lasting fragrance. We will give you a constant reference on how to recognize mainly how long that fragrance will last on the skin. As a main detail we divide them into: Eau De Fraiche or Fresh Water, Eau De Cologne or Cologne, Eau De Toilette or Cologne Water, Eau De Parfum or Perfume Water, Parfum or Perfume and Elixir or Intense.
Eau De Fraiche or Fresh Water: it is the lightest format, it contains between 1 and 3% essence. It lasts about 1 hour the effect of its smell and you have to put it multiple times so you spend more for its continuous use despite being the cheapest of the fragrances.
Eau De Cologne or Cologne: it is the second lightest format, contains between 4 and 7% essence. It is perfect for the hottest seasons, and being light aromas you can use large quantities without fear of having too much. The negative part is that it will not last us many hours around 2 to 3 hours the most, so you will have to repeat the dose several times during the day.
Eau De Toilette or Water of Cologne: the concentration of essence varies between 8 and 15% of essence. The fragrance is still somewhat light and its duration is around 3 to 4 hours normally.
Eau De Parfum or Perfume Water: the concentration of essence stays between 16 and 19%. The duration in our skin can reach around 5 to 6 hours. It is a good alternative to pure perfumes, since being less concentrated are a little cheaper than perfume.
Parfum or Perfume: we are talking about a much higher concentration, from 20 to 30%. The duration can exceed 8 to 12 hours or even more in the case of some brands. When carrying such a high concentration it is correct to dose its application only in strategic areas such as the neck or wrists.
Elixir or Intense: some firms market the elixir or intense version. In some cases it is a more intense concentration than that specified in perfume or perfume water which is mainly between 31 and 40% essence. It can last about 12 to 24 hours in the body. It is sold in smaller bottles and is more expensive than the ones before it.
